Lately I’ve been taking a lot of pictures so that I can “develop my eye” for photography. Also I want to take better/more pictures. And so far, basically 95% of them have been absolute shit. But every once in awhile I get one I like... and this is one of em. I have no idea what kind of plant this is, but when I got a closer look at it, I was reminded of how terrible I am at growing plants. I could kill a succulent, and in fact, I have. Weed is hard to grow too, and I have so much respect for all the farmers I’ve met on my journey...

Around the time I started learning more about cannabis, I was also spending a lot of time traveling to Northern California and Napa Valley. The similarities between wine and weed were striking. As I learned more about both industries it helped to fuel my curiosity and passion about the possibilities. I took this pic at a tasting room in Napa when weed, and my investment, was very much at the top of my mind. I couldn’t wait to get started, but I had no idea where to best focus my efforts...
